We are currently hiring a Lead Teacher for our Pre-Kindergarten classroom. This co-teaching position is scheduled for M-F, 8:30AM - 4:30PM, year-round.
Candidates must meet the Office of Child Care requirements for a Lead Teacher and have at least 2 years of experience leading a class.
As the Lead Childcare Teacher, your responsibilities include overseeing classroom activities, ensuring a nurturing environment, implementing early childhood education principles, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering communication with parents and staff. You will report to the Childcare Director.
About Bethesda Community School
The school program is approved by the State Department of Education to operate a non-public educational program for nursery and kindergarten. We are accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) for meeting quality standards outlined in the MSDE Standards for Implementing Quality Early Childhood Programs.
The school year runs from September to mid-June, with a summer program from mid-June to mid-August. We welcome children not enrolled during the school year to attend. Our hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the school year and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in summer. We offer various attendance options. Children may enroll from age 2, on a first-come, first-served basis, benefiting from a diverse group of peers.
