Childcare Teacher: We are a state licensed Child Care program at Divine Providence Academy (St. Joseph) in Conklin, Michigan. We offer infant, toddler, and preschool rooms with up to 12 children per classroom.

Job Goal

Provide a safe and secure learning environment for families and children, support learning, and foster independence to prepare students for preschool.

Qualifications

• Child Development credential or associate degree, or willingness to enroll in CDA
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Co‑teach with up to two other teachers
• Collaborate on lesson plans and instructional material, providing appropriate hands‑on activities to meet each pupil’s needs
• Complete monthly trainings to comply with Child Care Licensing requirements
• Communicate regularly with parents via email, notes, phone calls, and the daily Tadpole app
• Evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare reports
• Administer the Ages and Stages Questionnaire when scheduled to ensure milestones are met
• Create indoor and outdoor learning environments for all students
