Job summary

TURN is seeking a Childcare Specialist to provide development services for children of program participants. You will supervise children, support their development, and help manage daily activities at the center.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, maintaining confidentiality, and contributing to center operations. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with CA driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certifications preferred or required within set timelines.

Qualifications

  • Aid in general operation of child development center including organization and cleanliness, errands, office supplies inventory, ordering, and equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
  • Participate in scheduled program meetings.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements.

  • Cultural Competency understanding required.

  • Bilingual preferred.

  • If substance use disorder program a negative tuberculosis test (TB) is conducted under licensed medical supervision within 45 working days of hire or within 5 working days of employment and valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certification upon hire or within 90-days of employment.
