Job summary

Aspiranet is seeking a Youth Specialist to support families through care and supervision of children at the First 5 Center in Antioch, CA. You will engage children in age-appropriate activities, provide snacks, and help maintain a safe watch area during parent/guardian participation in classes or workshops.

The role requires a High School Diploma with 1 year of relevant experience, bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, and required background clearances.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 1 year experience working with children/youth.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health physical, valid driver's license with clean driving record and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children while parents participate in Center classes or workshops.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities and provide snacks.
• Greet parents/guardians at drop-off and pick-up times; maintain a welcoming environment.

Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.50 per hour

The hourly range for this position is $19.00 - $20.50 for employees hired in the Contra Costa, Antioch, CA area. The pay range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate for candidates hired within the Bay Area region. Position Summary

The Childcare Provider is responsible for the care and supervision of children at the First 5 Center while parent/caregivers are participating in Center classes or workshops. Major responsibilities include providing supervision of children, engaging children in age appropriate activities, providing children snacks, greeting parents/caregivers at drop-off & pick-up times, and preparing and keeping clean the child watch area.

Key Responsibilities

Youth Support

• Provide supervision to children whose parents or caregivers are participating in Center classes or workshops.
• Engages children in child watch in age appropriate activities.
• Prepares and provides snacks to children when indicated.
• Prepares and cleans Child Watch area before and after sessions.
• Greets parents/caregivers at pick-up and drop off times.

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete all required documentation in the database within established timelines.
• Maintain accurate, organized family files and instructional materials.
• Adhere to agency, funder, state, and federal confidentiality standards.

Collaboration & Professional Development

• Attend team, collaborative, community, and all-staff meetings.
• Participate in required trainings and supervision.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with one (1) year experience working with children/youth in a similar service.
• Bilingual Spanish; proficient in both English and Spanish.
• Must meet all state-required conditions of employment, including:
• Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance
• TB/Health physical
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance
