The Hotchkiss School’s Cynthia White Children’s Center is seeking an energetic childcare assistant to support daily care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. You will help implement developmentally appropriate activities, foster growth, and collaborate with families and staff in a warm, nurturing environment.
Responsibilities include planning weekly themes, observing child development, and ensuring safety and organized classrooms according to licensing requirements and center guidelines.

FLSA: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Job Status: Per-diem, Academic Year Staff
Schedule:
Position 1: Monday through Friday, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Position 2: Variable hours, as needed.
Note: CWCC program schedule aligns with The Hotchkiss School academic calendar. Possibility of occasional Saturdays.

The Cynthia White Children’s Center (CWCC) is an on-site, full-day childcare center that provides a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children and infants. Responsibilities of this position include implementing a curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices and maintaining caring, cooperative relationships with children, parents, and co-workers. This position requires demonstrated professionalism, interest in supporting children, and effective communication skills to teach in a daycare setting.
