Job summary

National Fitness Center is seeking a Childcare Coordinator to oversee children’s activities and programs across club locations in Morristown. You will assist with Kids in Motion, childcare, summer camps, and birthday parties, while supporting swim lessons and coaching teams as needed.

The role involves scheduling, payroll-related tasks, training and supervising staff, and reporting to the Area Activities Manager. A focus on member experience and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in health, fitness, recreation, and/or club environment or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong service orientation and desire to deliver an outstanding member experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Willing to travel occasionally for company meetings and future needs

Responsibilities

• Directs the Childcare Department and documents coaching and warnings
• Manages scheduling, payroll calculations, and shift changes
• Hires, trains and evaluates team; ensures policy adherence
• Prepares reports for the Area Activities Manager
• Plans programs and events; coordinates with directors and instructors
• Provides exceptional customer service to members and families
