Job summary

Oshkosh Community Young Mens Christian Assn is seeking a Childcare Coordinator to support the Childcare Director in daily operations and compliance with Wisconsin licensing and YMCA policies. You will help create a safe, developmentally appropriate program and engage with the community.

The role includes supervising staff, coordinating enrollment, communicating with families, and assisting in curriculum development and program oversight to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Understanding of child growth and development.
• Ability to maintain a safe, clean childcare environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to supervise staff and maintain professional relationships.
• Awareness of child abuse and neglect reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with YMCA mission and goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and evaluating childcare programs aligned with YMCA values.
• Support recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of staff.
• Maintain staff records and schedules, including vacations and sick leave.
• Communicate with parents through meetings, newsletters, and events.
• Help ensure licensing compliance and safety standards.
• Collaborate on daily schedules and curriculum development.
• Monitor program revenue and expenses against the budget.
• Support supervision of staff, Child Watch, Preschool Camp, and volunteers.
