$500 Hiring Bonus!

In the role of Childcare Lead Teacher, you will plan an environment and activities designed to promote safety, nurturing support, and appropriate development for children between six weeks and six years in our childcare center. You will also provide leadership and guidance for classroom staff as part of the Childcare Leadership Team. Classroom assignments are based on the needs of the center and may change accordingly.

Schedule: 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday

Benefits and Compensation: This full-time role offers health benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, childcare discounts, and a 403B retirement plan. The starting pay rate is between $15-18/hour, increasing with education and experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building positive, trust-based relationships with children and families through communication and body language
  • Supervising children indoors and outdoors
  • Maintaining classroom ratio at all times
  • Supporting an environment that promotes exploration and constructive play
  • Implementing and contributing to lesson plans and curriculum
  • Promoting social and emotional skills using an approved curriculum
  • Demonstrating conflict resolution, team building, and communication skills
  • Documenting observations and significant events

Qualifications:

  • Two-year degree preferred; High School Diploma with childcare experience considered
  • Two years of childcare experience required
  • Preferred certifications: CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporting, Universal Precautions, Medication Administration
  • Ability to pass physical examination and lift up to 35 lbs
  • Effective communication in English
