Job summary

Aspen Skiing Company in Snowmass Village seeks a Childcare Lead to support the Childcare Supervisor in delivering exceptional guest service to our youngest guests and their families. This role organizes daily operations within the Children’s Center, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.

The position reports to the Childcare Supervisor and requires Colorado licensing knowledge, CPR/First Aid, and ability to mentor classroom teachers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Colorado State Childcare Licensing requirements for ECE Early Childhood Education teacher.
• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience with children ages 3 and under.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Children’s Center with the Supervisor.
• Lead group activities: indoor/outdoor play, arts/crafts, games, rest time.
• Maintain a safe, engaging environment prioritizing children's wellbeing.
• Ensure curriculum aligns with guidelines and best practices in early childhood care.
• Document and communicate behavioral or medical incidents with parents.
• Provide coaching and feedback to staff; assist with training and scheduling.
• Communicate professionally with parents and guardians; provide updates on child development.
• Other duties as assigned.
