Job summary

La Petite Academy in the United States is seeking a dedicated Child Care Cook, Food Specialist responsible for overall food preparation for the school's enrolled children. This role adapts to menu changes and meets meal and snack schedules.

You will create home-style, nutritious meals within the school's menu and budget, follow daily menus aligned with USDA, licensing, and health inspections, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for multiple individuals in a childcare setting preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to state/local regulations.
• Flexibility as to hours and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritious meal plans within the school's menu and budget, and distribute meals to classrooms.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director, incorporating USDA/licensing/health dept. requirements.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and reorder as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
