Job summary

Bright Horizons seeks a Cook to plan and prepare nutritious, family‑style meals that support children’s health, growth, and learning. Your care in the kitchen will create a warm, predictable routine for children, educators, and center staff.

You will follow approved menus, maintain a clean, safe kitchen, manage inventory, and partner with center staff to ensure smooth daily meal service. A high school diploma or GED and a food handler certificate within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Food handler certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Course work or certification in Nutrition is preferred.
• Food service experience in childcare/school kitchen is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare balanced, family-style meals and snacks following menus and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen following health and sanitation procedures.
• Manage inventory and place orders with approved vendors; support daily meal service.
