Job summary

YMCA of Kingston and Ulster in Kingston, NY is seeking a Part-time Childcare Group Teacher for the Before and After School Care team. The role involves supervising a group of children, planning activities, and developing skills for kindergarten to 5th grade, with on-site teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred.
• Associates in Child Development, Recreation or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children preferably in a childcare setting.
• Experience in art, helping with homework, songs/music, skits, sports, and recreational games is a plus.
• 1 year experience working with children under 13 is required.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training required after hire.

Job Overview: Childcare Group Teacher is a vital role in the YMCA Before and After School Care team. They will be a part of an on-site team organizing and implementing program activities and developing skills for children in kindergarten to 5 th grade.

Part-time, Morning and/or Afternoon

Locations: Kingston City Schools, New Paltz, Ellenville, Highland, and Marlboro School Districts
