Economic Opportunities Advancement Corporation seeks a Custodian to maintain cleanliness of a childcare facility in a live environment, indoors and outdoors, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 12-month schedule. Compensation ranges from $30,000 to $32,500 per year.

The ideal candidate has custodial experience, ability to work independently, and comfort with laundry duties, safety procedures, and routine maintenance. EOAC emphasizes equal opportunity and community service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of custodial experience.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, drug screen & physical.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience with cleaning chemicals and cleaning agents.
• Ability to perform routine laundry and cleaning duties.
• Scheduling flexibility for after-hours events or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the assigned facility and grounds per EOAC policy.
• Laundry of infant/toddler bedding and curriculum supplies; vacuuming and mopping; sanitize floors and restrooms.
• Use cleaning chemicals per product safety standards.
• Keep bathrooms and classrooms stocked with supplies.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; requisition as needed.
• Complete minor maintenance duties as requested by supervisor.
• Assist nutrition staff with meal delivery/removal as needed.
• Respond to emergencies per EOAC policy (drains, leaks, floods).
• Complete required training including First Aid/CPR.
