Job summary

Little Hands Daycare and Learning Center in Portland, ME seeks a Center Director to lead operations, set strategic direction, and drive growth and excellence across daily activities and programs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in management within an educational or university setting
  • Strong background in strategic planning and budgeting
  • Expertise in education administration including curriculum oversight or teaching experience at the university level

  • Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders including staff, students, faculty and external partners

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Little Hands Daycare and Learning Center are seeking a dynamic and strategic Center Director to lead and oversee the operations of our educational center. In this pivotal role, you will drive the vision, growth, and excellence of the center by managing daily activities, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring the achievement of institutional goals. Your leadership will inspire staff, engage students, and build strong relationships with community partners. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about education administration and management to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant academic setting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the center’s educational and operational objectives, aligning with organizational mission and vision
  • Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high-quality programs and services
  • Lead, manage, and support staff including faculty, administrative personnel, and student services teams to foster a collaborative and motivated work environment

Requirements
