Job summary

The Learning Experience in Omaha, NE is seeking a Preschool Cook to join our team as an ambassador of happiness. This role focuses on planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals for infants to preschool children in a loving early-education setting.

The position is part-time with the option for full-time hours, highly flexible to support in classrooms as needed. You will collaborate with the Center Leadership to ensure safety, nutrition, and excellent service for children and their

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking (Preferred).
• Food handling certificate or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire (training paid).
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and make healthy and delicious meals for infants to preschool children that meet proper nutritional requirements.
• Track minimal food allergies and sensitivities for children in our care, ensuring their safety, and communicate to teachers daily with every food delivery.
• Follow proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures to ensure food is stored properly.
• Collaborate with the Center Leadership team to purchase all necessary food and supplies for the center.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards parents and children, listen, and communicate effectively.
• Be flexible and adaptable to the daily business needs of a childcare center.

As a Cook with us, you'll play a key role in making a difference in the lives of children, their families, and communities by making daily nutritious meals.

This is a part-time position, however, full-time hours are available if you would like to help in classrooms as well, very flexible!

You will:
