Job summary

Child Development Schools Texas is seeking a Bus Driver to provide safe transportation for students and support classroom activities. You will work with a Lead Teacher to create a nurturing environment and engage children through hands-on learning and storytelling.

You will partner with families, model positive behavior, and contribute to a collaborative teaching team focused on early childhood education. Prior ECE experience is a plus; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong communication and family-relations skills.
• Physical ability to work with young children.
• A degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom meeting licensing/ratio requirements.
• Provide on-time, safe and reliable transportation for Before/After School programs.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.

Job description

As a Bus Driver at Child Development Schools, you will support our center by providing safe, reliable transportation for our students to and from school and/or activities. You may also be supporting classrooms, working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What your day looks like:

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
• Provide on time, safe and reliable transportation for our Before and After School programs

Pay and benefits

Pay: $14-$15 per hour, based on experience and education.

A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education and prior experience in a licensed childcare center are a plus, but not required. We hire characters and train for skill.
