Job summary

Child Development Schools is hiring a Bus Driver to provide safe transportation for students and support early childhood activities. You’ll assist the Lead Teacher, engage with children during meals and transitions, and help with daily classroom documentation.

The role emphasizes safety, reliable service, and positive family communication. A High School diploma or GED and a clean driving record are required, with background checks and licensing as standard.

Childcare Center Bus Driver

Your role

As a Bus Driver at Child Development Schools, you will support our center by providing safe, reliable transportation for our students to and from school and/or activities. You may also be supporting classrooms, working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands‑on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What your day looks like:

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
• Provide on time, safe and reliable transportation for our Before and After School programs
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports
• Maintain a safe Bus environment

Pay and benefits

Pay: $13-$15 per hour, based on experience and education.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education and prior experience in a licensed childcare center are a plus, but not required. We hire characters and train for skill.
