Responsibilities

• Create a friendly, clean, safe, and age-appropriate environment for children in the JCC childcare facility.
• Interact with and engage children using the facility's programs.
• Maintain attendance records and other childcare program documentation.
• Follow Covid-19 protocols as directed by the JCC and health authorities.
• Communicate regularly with members and families using the facility.
• Ensure equipment is stored, maintained, and safe.
• Coordinate with maintenance for equipment and facility upkeep; report hazards.
• Promote the fitness and wellness department and coordination with other JCC teams.
• Represent the agency to promote Katz JCC and inter-agency programs.
• Take on additional duties as needs arise.

Childcare Attendant (Babysitting)

Part Time - work less than 24 hours Support Cherry Hill, NJ, US

Salary Range: $15.92 To $15.92 Hourly

We are hiring Babysitting Support Staff to provide care for infants and children of members utilizing the Health & Wellness facility at the Katz JCC.

Schedule flexibility is a must –Must be available mornings, nights, and weekends

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a friendly, clean, presentable, safe, and age-appropriate environment for members utilizing the JCC Childcare facility
• Interact and engage the children that are utilizing the JCC Childcare facility
• Maintain records with respect to the JCC Childcare Program, (i.e.: attendance list)
• Maintain appropriate Covid-19 protocols as directed by the JCC, local health department, State Dept. of Health and CDC.
• Maintain ongoing communication with members (participants) of the Childcare facility
• Responsible ensuring that equipment is properly stored, maintained, and cared for
• Along with maintenance department – provide ongoing maintenance – fitness and wellness childcare equipment and facilities. Report unclean conditions, safety hazards and malfunctioning equipment
• Assist in the promotion of the fitness and wellness department and integration with other JCC departments to ensure the productive, effective, and efficient operation of the Agency.
• As a representative of the agency, maintain proper relationships with public for the purpose of promoting the Katz JCC and inter-agency programs.
• Additional responsibilities may be added periodically based upon the needs of the fitness and wellness department of the Katz JCC.

Requirements:

• Patient, warm personality and good nurturing relationship with children / infants.
• Proven ability to work with (lead activities) children of all ages.
• Proven ability to be active and interact with kids (bending, be on floor, lift babies, equipment, etc.)
• Ability to work well with others towards a common goal.
