The Keene Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Teacher’s Assistant to work in their busy childcare center. In this role, you will provide quality experiences to children and parents that focus on the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. You will create a safe, enjoyable, culturally aware, and positive environment that promotes wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Requirements

Essential Functions

• Assist with implementing curriculum within established guidelines.
• Supervise children, classroom, and activities.
• Maintain program site and equipment.
• Maintain required program records.
• Attend family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and training (18 hours/year).
• Build meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests, exemplifying the YMCA’s core values.
• Respond promptly to inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire.
• Health form completed within 30 days, renewed every 3 years.
• Desire to work with children in a developmental setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates meeting 80-100% of the following:

• 3+ years experience working with children.
• Ability to perform duties with professionalism, enthusiasm, kindness, empathy, honesty, and respect.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups.
