Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support Lead Teachers and create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, and growth. You will engage with young learners through hands-on activities and storytelling, helping to build curiosity and confidence.

You will work closely with families and the teaching team to provide a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where children can explore and thrive in daily routines and learning moments.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom

Pay And Benefits

Pay: $12.50 per hour, based on experience and education.
