Description

The Learning Grove Academy of Troy is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support various age groups.

To qualify for this position, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to pass all background checks. Previous childcare experience is a plus.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday

Compensation: $14 - $15 an hour, based on education and experience.

Our Hiring Process

Main Job Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in all classroom activities, aligned with the center's philosophy and goals.
• Implement activities promoting children’s emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Follow directions, accept feedback, and make improvements to enhance program quality.
• Create and maintain a clean, safe environment for children.
• Build professional rapport with families to ensure quality care.
• Physically capable of working around children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and meet all physical requirements of the role.
