Job summary

Sunrise Preschools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and to help create a warm, welcoming classroom where children feel safe and excited to learn.

You will assist with daily activities, maintain licensing standards, engage with children, and communicate with families. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a background check will be conducted.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families
• Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children

Job description

As an Assistant Teacher at Sunrise Preschools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What your day looks like:

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements

Pay and benefits

Pay: $15.20-$16 per hour, based on experience and education.
