Our School:

The Goddard School in Milton is a brand-new state of the art premier early childhood center that offers the best preparation for social, physical and academic success for children from 6 weeks to 6 years. Our curriculum and philosophy, inspired by Piaget and Erikson, focuses on play-based learning. We aim to attract and retain educators by providing a supportive & collaborative culture, environment, and tools for success.

Responsibilities:

• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Advance physical and intellectual competence by adapting program activities to meet individual needs
• Communicate professionally with parents and staff
• Support social and emotional development through positive guidance
• Establish positive relationships with families
• Develop lesson plans and foster teamwork for a well-run program
• Understand and implement Goddard’s Health & Safety procedures
• Arrive each day with a positive outlook and a great sense of humor

Requirements:

• A 2-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 18 ECE credits
• EEC Certification preferred (will assist in obtaining)
• Availability between 7:00AM - 6:00PM
• Strong communication skills

General Qualifications:

• Meet state and national qualifications
• Ability to hear, see, speak, and respond appropriately
• Physical ability to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds
• Ability to handle crisis situations involving children
