Job summary

The Sunshine House in Duluth, GA is seeking a Childcare Assistant Director to support daily operations, safety and education across our childcare center. You’ll partner with families, supervise staff, and help maintain licensing compliance while delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• CDA or TCC preferred for advance pay within range.
• Previous experience managing a childcare center (1 year) is required.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• At least 21 years old and passionate about high-quality care and education.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the daily operations of the childcare school, ensuring licensing requirements are met and company policies are followed.
• Perform administrative duties, give tours to families, maintain records and ensure policy compliance.
• Partner with families to provide the best care and education for children.
• Support teachers in implementing the curriculum and maintaining developmentally appropriate classrooms.
• Nurture positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing representatives, and the community.
• Occasionally work in the classroom to support staff.
