Job summary

The Sunshine House is seeking a Childcare Assistant Director at our Blythewood, SC location to support daily operations, family engagement, and classroom leadership. You will help ensure licensing compliance, support teachers, and partner with families to deliver high-quality care for children.

Qualifications

• Degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of management experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Proficient computer skills in common business programs, including Microsoft Office.
• At least 21 years old and a passion for high-quality care and education.
• Commitment to state licensing requirements and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the daily operations of childcare school, ensuring state licensing and company policies.
• Perform administrative duties, give tours to families, maintain records, and ensure compliance.
• Partner with families to provide the best care and education for children.
• Support teachers in implementing curriculum and developmentally appropriate classrooms.
• Nurture positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing representatives, and the community.
• Work in the classroom when needed to assist and support staff.
