Job summary

The Sunshine House is seeking a Childcare Assistant Director to help manage daily operations, ensure licensing compliance, and partner with families to provide exceptional care and education. The role supports teachers and maintains records while fostering strong community relationships.

We value experience in licensed childcare, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a passion for growing with a dedicated team focused on quality early education.

Qualifications

• Degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• Must have at least 1 year management experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related business software.
• Passion for providing high-quality care and education.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the daily operations of childcare school, ensuring licensing requirements and company policies are met.
• Perform administrative duties, give impactful tours to families, maintain records, ensure state licensing/policy compliance, and help keep everything running smoothly.
• Partner with families to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support teachers in implementing our curriculum, enabling developmentally appropriate classrooms that spark curiosity and growth.
• Nurture positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing representatives, and the community.
• Work in the classroom when needed to assist and support staff.

Compensation & Pay Range: Competitive based on education and previous management experience. Candidates with advanced education and experience in early childhood education may qualify for higher pay within the range. Regular increases are considered with additional education, stellar performance, and years of service.

Assistant Director Responsibilities:
