The Carl's Family YMCA in Milford, MI is seeking a Childwatch Assistant to support safe, engaging activities for kids in our Child Watch and Kids Club programs.

You will supervise children, maintain staff-to-child ratios, communicate with families, and model YMCA values. Flexible evenings and weekends are required; prior experience with children is preferred and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Experience working with children in a supervised setting preferred.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Ensures the health, safety and wellbeing of children in the program by providing close supervision of all activities
• Maintain the appropriate staff-to-child ratios and assists in maintaining attendance records
• Maintains a positive and respectful manner of communication with families/parents
• Serve as a role model for all youth and all staff by displaying exemplary behavior at all times including but not limited to demonstrating YMCA core values, voice, and HEPA standards
• Must be knowledgeable in illnesses and child abuse symptoms and procedures
• Performs other assigned duties as directed by Supervisor

General Function
