Job summary

IKEA Elizabeth is hiring for a part-time Play Facility Attendant to create a safe, joyful environment for visiting children and their caregivers. You will register children, supervise play, and support activities while maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols.

The role offers an evening schedule (approximately 12–20 hours/week, with weekend coverage) and benefits for eligible co-workers. Experience in retail or childcare is preferred, with CPR/First Aid training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail and/or childcare preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification training provided.
• Physical Demands: Lifting and Carrying Occasionally (1-25lbs).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to creating a pleasant and safe environment for the children that visit our play facility.
• Register children, monitor and entertain children while in the playroom, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Participate in the planning and execution of children's activities both in and outside of Småland.
• Build meaningful and empathetic relationships with children and their caretakers.
• Strictly adhere to all IKEA play facility and safety & security policy and procedures.
• Support in other areas of the customer experience function as needed, such as cashier and greeter role to provide additional coverage when needed.
