Providence Swedish seeks a childbirth education professional to educate expectant and new families, guiding them through the transition to parenthood with a structured, evidence-based education process.

You will assess learning needs, plan and implement education, and evaluate outcomes while supporting families in a compassionate, patient-centered environment at Providence Swedish First Hill in Seattle.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in childbirth education.
  • Coursework/training in childbirth education preferred.
  • Certification by a nationally recognized childbirth education program upon hire preferred.
  • 6 months teaching experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Educate expectant and new families on newborn care and parenting.
  • Support families in transitioning to the parenting role with structured education.
  • Deliver education using a process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Description

This position functions to meet the educational needs of expectant and new families and their support networks. In meeting these needs, this position assists families in the process of transitioning from the role of expectant parents to the role of parents responsible for care of their newborns. This position provides education by utilizing a process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree - In related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in childbirth education


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Coursework/Training - Successful completion of formal childbirth education training program

  • Certification by a nationally recognized childbirth education upon hire

  • 6 months - Teaching experience

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $41.81 - $64.91
