About Greater Lakes Mental Health

Greater Lakes Mental Health is a key component of MultiCare’s Behavioral Health Network, providing mental health and substance use disorder treatment for over 10,000 individuals annually across Pierce County. Providing services for adults, children, and families with Medicaid coverage, Greater Lakes offers 6 convenient mental health care locations including a 16-bed inpatient facility covering medically necessary voluntary and involuntary services to adults. Our experienced teams, veteran nurses, and robust training plans are designed to support your success and growth in facilitating recovery-oriented and trauma-informed treatment.

Position Summary

The Mental Health Professional is an exciting clinical opportunity responsible for counseling and case management services. In this role, you will maintain a patient caseload, providing intervention within established treatment guidelines, policies, and procedures. The position offers you the ability to actively advocate on behalf of your patients.

Responsibilities

1. You will provide person-centered counseling, advocacy, and case management for patients.
2. You will develop treatment plans which clearly identify the patient’s voice, treatment strategies, and specific outcome measures.
3. You will meet agency documentation standards and authorization requirements of contracts.
4. You will strategically tailor effective clinical/case management services to meet diverse patient needs.
5. You will contribute to the success of MultiCare expectations and core values, continuously learning, and performing other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

• Masters degree in a related field.
• A Mental Health Professional as defined within HB 1724, practicing within the statutory scope of practice, including roles such as psychiatrist, psychologist, physician assistant with supervising psychiatrist, psychiatric advanced registered nurse practitioner, psychiatric nurse, social worker, mental health counselor, marriage and family therapist, or certified/licensed agency affiliated counselor.
• Previous experience providing mental health counseling services preferred.
• Depending on assigned area, proof of a safe driving record may be required.

Pay and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive salary range of $34.46 - $49.60 USD, medical, dental, retirement benefits, and paid time off. Salary is influenced by skill set, experience, certifications, and education. If unionized, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale.
