Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois in Peoria is seeking a qualified supervisor to oversee a licensed child welfare program. You will provide staff training, conduct evaluations, and ensure program productivity and compliance with agency and regulatory standards.

The role requires a Master’s degree in social work or related field, 3–5 years in social services, active CWEL license, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related human services field.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in social services.
• State licensing/certification as required by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
• CWEL License (valid and active) required.
• Supervisory experience and experience with Child Welfare preferred.
• Ability to respond to client emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related software.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
• Background check clearance (criminal and CANTS).
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized training and feedback to assigned staff to enhance their capabilities.
• Review and evaluate assigned staff.
• Ensure productivity requirements established by the Program Director or designee are met.
• Provide direct supervision and support to assigned staff to provide an array of services per service plan and policies of the agency, accreditation, and regulatory bodies.
• Compile, complete, and submit all required data, billings, reports, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner as required by agency and funding sources.
• Communicates with the Program Director, work group and collateral agencies regarding children’s and/or family status.
• Collaborate with other management staff in programs and network on programmatic, fiscal, organization and community issues.

• Ability to respond to client emergencies on a 24-hour basis, attend court, ACRs, staffing, and other related matters.
• Excellent organizational, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other related software.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and written.
• Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS required.
• Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
• Access to reliable transportation required.
• Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
