Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Social Worker specialized in child welfare to join the team in Paarl. You will assess cases, develop intervention plans, and connect families with community resources to safeguard children in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with a recognized qualification (e.g., BSW).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in child protection, child welfare, or family services.
• In-depth knowledge of child protection legislation and best practices.
• Strong case management, assessment, and intervention skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases in Paarl area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of child welfare cases, including risk and needs assessments.
• Develop and implement intervention plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
• Provide counseling and support services to children and their families, facilitating positive outcomes.
• Liaise with relevant agencies, including schools, police, and healthcare providers, to coordinate services.
• Prepare detailed case reports, court reports, and other documentation as required.
