Job summary

The Children’s Village in Valhalla, NY is seeking a Social Worker I to work under close supervision. You will formulate treatment and permanency plans for children and families on your caseload and contribute clinical input to the therapeutic milieu.

Requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work and one year of case management experience. Social work experience and child welfare exposure are preferred. Strong written and verbal communication and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work required.
• One year of case management experience required.
• Social work experience preferred; child welfare experience preferred.
• Ability to function well on an interdisciplinary treatment team; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement treatment and permanency plans for children and families on caseload.
• Provide clinical input into the therapeutic milieu to ensure appropriate care.
• Document all interventions and required reports in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate all treatment provided to each resident to ensure interventions are appropriate, timely and effective.
