Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in child welfare; OR six years of full‑time work experience in any field; OR a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience substitution: 30 semester hours equals one year of experience; max 120 semester hours substitutes for four years.
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent; a valid driver’s license; must not have disqualifying criminal convictions per state statute.

Responsibilities

• Investigate allegations of child abuse or neglect.
• Support first‑shift staff by assisting with backlog cases.
• Gather and document detailed case information and records for court proceedings and provide testimony.
• Make timely referrals to family services, foster care programs and community resources.
