Job summary

The Research Data Analyst, Child Welfare, within the Social Work Department, conducts data analysis using statistical methods on foster care and educational databases, and creates reports and visualizations of results.

The role collects, cleans, merges, and analyzes data, develops databases and evaluation plans, and communicates findings to supervising faculty; travel and on-campus work are required. This is a grant-funded position contingent on funds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Three (3) years of experience collecting, managing, and analyzing data in SPSS, SAS, or R.
• Ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manages, reformats, enters, edits, merges, and maintains data for analysis.
• Analyzes data using statistical tools to generate descriptive statistics and models.
• Reviews statistical output for consistency and quality.
• Assists in development and implementation of evaluation plans.
• Disseminates findings through reports and presentations; mentors graduate students.
