Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time work experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Internal Applicants Only: one (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as a Social Service Case Aide.
• Substitution information: additional education may substitute based on a year-for-year basis or as determined by the Office of Shared Administration Equivalency Chart.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced level support to child protective services.
• Review records including medical treatment, educational, and service provider documentation.
• Attend meetings and conduct safety checks; make recommendations to the assigned Child Protective Service Worker.
• Conduct home visits with families to monitor child safety and well-being as part of safety analysis and planning.
• Conduct walk-through safety assessments of prospective kinship/relative provider homes and submit documentation to initiate the home study process.
• Travel may be required using a personal vehicle.
• Overtime is an essential function of this position.
