Job summary

Bettendorf Family YMCA is hiring a Part-Time Child Watch Attendant for the Bettendorf location. The role involves supervising and engaging children during the Child Watch program, ensuring safety, and maintaining the play area in a clean state.

Shifts are mornings (8:00am–12:30pm), with a pay rate of $12.00 per hour. CPR/AED/FA certification is required and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED/FA certification required; classes provided through the YMCA.

Responsibilities

• Participate with children in activities and implement development activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe child watch area with regular disinfection of toys and furniture.
• Notify supervisor if equipment, toys or furniture are damaged.
• Communicate effectively with parents to explain policies and maintain positive rapport.
