Job summary

YMCA in Leominster, MA is seeking a Part-time Child Watch Associate to supervise children from 3 months to 12 years old and help create a safe, engaging atmosphere for families. The role involves following safety procedures, greeting parents, and maintaining a professional image.

Under the supervision of the Senior Member Experience Director, you will attend staff meetings and participate in program activities.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
  • Previous experience with children preferred.

  • Follow all policies, procedures, and standards as established by the law or the YMCA (e.g., safety or emergency procedures, behavior guidance strategies, child abuse prevention policies).
  • Speaks in a tactful and courteous manner to parents, YMCA members, and fellow staff.
  • Projects a professional image, including neat appearance, positive manner and dependable attendance.
  • Attends and participated in program activities and staff meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Under the supervision of the Senior Member Experience Director, the Child Watch Associate ensures the safety of all children in their care. This is the perfect job for moms, bring your little one with you while your older children are at school.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Supervise a group of children and program activities for children from 3 months old to 12 years old.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience with diverse populations preferred


Schedule

Looking to fill morning shifts between the hours of 5am to 12pm.
