Hiring: Child Therapist Seeking Clinical Supervision

Mindful Therapy Brooklyn is a small group practice in Brooklyn Heights. We are seeking a child therapist to join our team as a supervisee. Our group is a close-knit and supportive group of therapists who share an interest in experiential therapy. Our work is trauma-informed, somatic, and attachment-based. We welcome people who have recently completed their clinical training OR are close to earning their terminal license OR who already have it. The key is an interest in working in an environment that supports experiential therapy. Special consideration will be given to clinicians who have training in child trauma or any trauma-related modalities, like EMDR.

A good candidate:

• Must be interested in working with children, adolescents, and parents

• Is excited about training in experiential approaches for this demographic

• Understands that there is a mind-body connection and wants to learn how to practice therapy in a holistic way, including somatic and neuroscience-based approaches

• Is willing to work on Saturdays (at least half the day), for at least 1 year

• Is able to hold a caseload of at least 12-15 clients

• Can commit for a minimum of 2 years

Group members receive a training stipend each year and substantial training through group and individual supervision. They also have an opportunity to learn about the business side of running a private practice.
