Job description

This is a career-building position. We are looking for professionals who have a heart for serving individuals aged 6-18, who want to provide family support, build relationships with children and families, and provide behavioral health interventions.

We are building a team of Behavioral Health Specialists who have a commitment to learn and develop their skill in supporting healthy family relationships, enhancing child development, and engaging children in social-emotional learning and skill development. Join our team who have a commitment to learn and develop their own skill sets in supporting healthy family relationships as you engage children and teens. You will have the opportunity to learn and then provide creative interventions, develop, and maintain service relationships with the client, the family, and caregivers to provide support as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ability to work with children and their families, eligible for QMHA Certification.
  • Implement skills, develop strategies, identify areas for improvement and concern, implement and coordinate the services and support.
  • Provide services in the home, the school and the community with some in-office and telehealth opportunities, as appropriate.
  • Attend and participate in agency, team, and clinical meetings, including mandatory training to assist in treatment coordination.
  • Maintain client reports, records, and other documents and file documentation in a timely manner.
  • Skill in fully concentrating, understanding, responding, and remembering what clients say, which is crucial for effective therapeutic relationships.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills; speak effectively with individuals, display discretion and skilled professional judgement.
  • Scheduling flexibility, however, some evening and weekend availability is required.
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent); or an associate degree; a bachelor's degree; or a master's degree preferred (the degrees could be in unrelated fields).
  • Three years of verifiable and relevant experience and can demonstrate knowledge in basic behavioral health skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time.
  • Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
