Office of the Attorney General (OAG) – Child Support Division is seeking a diligent Child Support Officer to conduct investigations, locate absent parents, and assist in establishing paternity in Texas. You will help secure court orders for support and health care, enforce obligations, and respond to inquiries from families.

The position requires strong communication, typing speed, and the ability to work in a team in a public service environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree from a accredited college/university if not substituting with related experience.
• Experience in child support, investigations, customer service, or IV-A eligibility may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.
• Proven interviewing and negotiation skills; ability to use PC for data entry and word processing.

Responsabilités

• Locate absent parents and assist in establishing paternity.
• Obtain court orders for financial support and health care coverage.
• Enforce child support orders and respond to customer inquiries.
