The State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Economic Assistance, is seeking a Child Support Enforcement Worker in the Lincoln area.
Under general supervision, a Child Support Enforcement Worker reviews applications, establishes paper and computer case records, and enforces paternity and court orders for child support and medical support using legal and administrative processes. They obtain financial information from parties to calculate child support guidelines and draft legal documents under the supervision of an attorney.

Position Hiring Rate: $18.626 per hour (nonexempt)
Work Schedule : Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Dress Attire: Business Casual
Two years of experience in a health or human services field, or 24 semester hours of post-high school education in behavior sciences, public/business administration, social sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with computer software is required.
Knowledge of : child support programs, policies, procedures, statutes, court rules, paralegal functions, the Aid to Dependent Children program, office procedures, family diversity, community resources, interagency collaboration, confidentiality guidelines.
Skills in : interviewing, customer service, analyzing facts, time management, evaluating information.
Abilities to : communicate effectively, conduct sensitive interviews, apply problem-solving, interpret regulations, perform mathematical calculations, organize and prioritize work, write clear narratives, explain programs, work in teams, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality.
