Oklahoma Department of Human Services in Tulsa seeks a Child Support Attorney I–IV focused on juvenile matters and child support hearings. The role requires appearances in the Juvenile Division and preparation of pleadings for district and administrative courts.
Levels I–IV differ by education and experience: JD, Oklahoma license, and OK Bar membership are required at all levels, with increasing years of legal/adjudicative experience. Occasional travel and valid driver’s license are expected.
This position is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Annual Salary -
Level I (Q80A):$66,666.67 + Full State Employee Benefits
Level II (Q80B):$71,428.57 + Full State Employee Benefits
Level III (Q80C):$76,190.48 + Full State Employee Benefits
Level IV (Q80D):$85,714.29 + Full State Employee Benefits
Job-related travel is OCCASIONAL. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Level I -Education and Experience requirements at this level consists of a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, a license to practice law in State of Oklahoma, and membership in Oklahoma Bar Association.
Level II -Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, a license to practice law in State of Oklahoma; an active membership of the Oklahoma Bar Association and two years of legal experience or adjudicative experience.
Level III -Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, a license to practice law in State of Oklahoma, an active membership of the Oklahoma Bar Association, and five years of legal experience or adjudicative experience.
Level IV -Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, a license to practice law in State of Oklahoma, an active membership with the Oklahoma Bar Association, and seven years of legal experience including two years of litigation, or agency-defined experience in the practice of law e.g. tax, or supervisory experience.
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in child support.
