Child Support Attorney Annual Salaries

  • Child Support Attorney I: $75,218.00 - $96,044.00 Annually
  • Child Support Attorney II: $87,802.00 - $112,034.00 Annually
  • Child Support Attorney III: $105,326.00 - $134,446.00 Annually

Remote Work Availability: This position allows for limited remote work opportunities. Some exceptions, such as court appearances and necessary in-office work, may apply.

The Fresno County Department of Child Support Services offers an excellent career opportunity for individuals interested in the roles of Child Support Attorney I/II/III.

Child Support Attorneys perform professional legal services in the preparation and litigation of child support matters and perform related work. Incumbents at the Child Support Attorney II/III levels are expected to handle more complex caseloads and exercise greater independence.

As a condition of employment, candidates' child support case, education, and employment histories, along with any criminal records, will be reviewed. A live scan fingerprint check is also required.

Positions in this classification are in Medical Group I - Light Physical Activity, which involves light physical effort, including lifting small objects, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, and considerable walking or standing.

Eligible candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:
  • Child Support Attorney I: Active membership, in good standing, with the State Bar of California.
  • Child Support Attorney II: Same as I, plus at least one (1) year of practicing attorney experience acceptable to the Director of Child Support Services.
  • Child Support Attorney III: Same as II, but with at least two (2) years of practicing attorney experience.

Additional Requirements: Incumbents must obtain and maintain FBI and DOJ clearance.
