NYS Office of Children and Family Services in Albany seeks a Supervising Child Protective Services Specialist 2 to oversee frontline teams and ensure timely response to referrals. You will supervise staff, manage the statewide hotline workflow, and coordinate resources with local districts and agencies to protect children and strengthen service delivery.
The role requires strong leadership and analytic skills to interpret data and communicate with partners.
Supervise Child Protective Services Specialist 2’s, communicate performance expectations and monitor staff performance.
Manage daily child abuse and maltreatment hotline call volume and staffing resources using knowledge and understanding of relevant sections of Social Service Laws, the Family Court Act and agency policies and procedures.
Promote staff development, quality assurance, productivity, personnel management, and relationships with local districts and voluntary agencies.
Understand and interpret data as necessary, effectively communicate with stakeholders verbally and in writing.

One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer.
One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as a Child Protective Services Specialist 2.
This position may be designated 55 b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility.
