Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work preferred.
• Or master's degree in related human service field, criminal justice, criminal justice administration, or law enforcement with one year of related professional experience.
• Or bachelor's degree in social work with one year of related professional experience.
• Or bachelor's degree in related human service field, criminal justice, criminal justice administration, or law enforcement and two years of related professional experience.
• The degree must be accredited and CSWE-accredited for social work.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Deferred Assignment Child Protection Specialist.
• Prepares and maintains reports, assessments, and case documentation.
• Summarizes and presents case material for transfer to permanency or prevention workers.
• Coordinates placement of children in substitute care facilities.
• Attends multi-disciplinary staff conferences to assess needed services.
• Transports clients when taking protective custody or placing them in substitute care.
