Job summary

Southside ISD is seeking a Child Nutrition Assistant Manager to support cafeteria operations across campus. The role reports to the Director of Child Nutrition and focuses on supervising staff, ensuring meals meet menu requirements and health codes, and maintaining accurate production records.

The position is nonexempt, with a CN2 wage grade for a 190-day schedule, and the starting date is to be determined. The incumbent will assist in daily operations and staff training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Food manager certification preferred.
• Two years experience in institutional food service operations.
• Completion of a sanitation course before or during the first year.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thoroughness and accuracy in work assignments.
• Supervises and trains cafeteria workers and assists cafeteria manager.
• Maintains production records and ensures menu specifications are followed.
