Job summary

Lakota Local Schools in Cincinnati is seeking a CHILD NUTRITION COOK for a 0.75 FTE position to prepare, cook, and assemble meals for student dining services. The role requires a high school diploma, and a current ServSafe certification, plus at least three years in a food service setting. 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, across 184 days in the school year.

Applicants must pass a background check. EOE. Starting wage on schedule is $15.47 per hour based on verified experience and Lakota's pay

Qualifications

Description: Child Nutrition Cook .75 FTE

Job Summary: The CHILD NUTRITION COOK is an individual contributor responsible for preparing, cooking, and assembling food items for student meal service in accordance with standardized recipes and the Ohio Uniform Food Safety Code. This position supports daily cafeteria operations by ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid ServSafe® Food Safety Program for Managers certification required and must remain current.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a food service environment preferred.

Working Conditions: 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, 184 days per school year calendar.

Per salary schedule at Lakota, starting at $15.47 per hour, based on verified previous experience.
