Job summary

The Lakota Local School District is seeking a Child Nutrition Cook to prepare, cook, and assemble food items for student meals in accordance with recipes and the Ohio Uniform Food Safety Code. This role supports daily cafeteria operations by ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards.

This position is 0.75 FTE, 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, 184 days per school year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid ServSafe Food Safety Program for Managers certification required and must remain current.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a food service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and assemble meals for student service according to recipes and safety standards.
• Support daily cafeteria operations to ensure meals are prepared safely and efficiently.

This position supports daily cafeteria operations by ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a food service environment preferred.

Working Conditions

6 hours per day, 5 days per week, 184 days per school year calendar.

Per salary schedule at Lakota, starting at $15.47 per hour, based on verified previous experience.

Applicants that are offered positions shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCII criminal background check. Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based on the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the district.
