Responsibilities
The role of the Child Life Therapist is to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate psychosocial needs of patients and families from neonatal to 17 years old (Neonates, Pediatric, Adolescent). The Child Life Therapist provides psychosocial support, plans and coordinates activities to promote the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of the child within inpatient and outpatient settings, using age-appropriate principles of growth and development. They act as advocates for patients and families and perform other related duties.
